Your Worth Is Not Your Output

Today's Question
What part of your identity have you connected to productivity, independence, or physical ability?
Reflection
Stephanie shared honestly about being a recovering perfectionist and a driven overachiever. She was used to serving, producing, and pushing forward. Recovery forced her to face a painful question: Who am I when I cannot do what I used to do?
Can I tell you something? Many of us quietly ask that same question. We may measure our value by how much we accomplish, how well we care for others, or how little help we need. But God does not love us because of our performance. He loves us because we belong to Him.
Second Corinthians 12:9 reminds us that Christ's power is perfected in weakness. In context, Paul is asking for his struggle to be removed, but God meets him with sustaining grace. Weakness does not disqualify you from God's purpose. It can become a place where you experience His strength and receive the care of His people.
Perspectives Into Practice
Perspectives Into Practice — Notice one task you are trying to prove yourself through. Release it to God in prayer and say, "My worth is already secure in Christ." If you need help with something today, ask one trusted person instead of automatically saying, "I've got it."
Receiving care is not failure, friends. It gives others an opportunity to love you, and it reminds you that God designed us to walk in community.
