Wink #1-I’m getting ready to paint my rental. I called and reserved a scaffold. I wanted it for 3 days and he said that because it was over 2 days it was going to be the charge for a week- $211. I got there today to pick it up- (cute 30 something guy with a dimple). He said, “I’m gonna do you a solid. I’ll give it to you for $95 since it’s over the weekend.”
Wink # 2- the facia board is rotten so I had to replace it. I went to Home Depot to buy the 2 x 6 x 12’ board. I had to secure it on top of the scaffold. It was 3’ longer than the truck bed. I used the thin cording they provided, but I’m not an expert at knots. A guy (clerk) asked if I need help. He looked at it and shook his head. (Obviously I don’t know how to do this!) He got stronger cord and made sure it wasn’t going to go anywhere.
