When God Invites You to Release

~2 min read

Today's Question

What are you carrying that God may be asking you to place in His hands? How would your day look different if surrender became a daily choice instead of a one-time decision?

Reflection

I remember hearing Brianna describe the season when burnout was taking over her life. She was deeply involved at church, working full-time, and trying to keep everything going. From the outside, many of those things looked good. But inside, she was running on empty.

Her story reminded me of the trees in November. The leaves don't cling forever. They release what they were holding so new life can come in its proper season. Sometimes God asks us to surrender things that aren't necessarily bad. He knows when they are no longer healthy for us to carry.

Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not depend on our own understanding. We may not see what God is preparing, but we can trust the One who does.

Perspectives Into Practice

Perspectives Into Practice — Take five quiet minutes today and name one responsibility, expectation, or plan you are holding tightly. Write it down, then pray: "Lord, I trust You with this. Show me what obedience looks like today." You don't have to solve the whole future. Take the next faithful step.
