Waiting Does Not Mean Wasted

Today's Question

What promise or opportunity are you waiting on right now? Can you believe that God may be working in the delay, even when you cannot yet see what He is preparing?

Reflection

Brianna shared a beautiful example of waiting. She had wanted to pursue a seminary certificate in theological imagination for several years. She prayed about it repeatedly, but God kept telling her, "Not right now." She could have pushed forward, but she chose to wait.

When the time was finally right, she applied and was accepted. Soon after, her seminary announced full tuition scholarships for students. She had no way of knowing that provision was coming. The delay was not rejection. God was preparing the right timing and making a way she never could have anticipated.

Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. Waiting can feel passive, but biblical waiting is active trust. We keep praying, obeying, and becoming ready while God works beyond what we can see.
