What is God's favor? 🤔
Luke 2:52 says Jesus grew in favor with God and men. If he was God, then how did he grow in favor with God? What I think this means is Jesus grew in intimacy with the Father.
Favor is experienced as a sense of God’s pleasure, presence, and personal attentiveness. People speak of “walking in favor” the way one might speak of walking closely with a trusted friend or father. This often involves prayer, worship, listening for the Spirit’s leading, and cultivating a conscious awareness of being loved and chosen by God.
Personally, what I seek/ crave is a deeper intimacy with the triune God. Walking with Him, talking with Him, feeling His presence.
