When Your Yes Meets Waiting
~2 min read
Today's Question
Where have you sensed God’s direction but still lack the details? What would it look like to trust Him with the part you cannot see?
Reflection
I remember seasons when I knew I had said yes to God, but nothing around me seemed to change. I wanted the next step, the clear answer, and the evidence that I was moving in the right direction. Instead, I found myself standing in the uncomfortable space Carolyn and I discussed on the podcast: yes, but not quite.
That season can feel like a delay, but it isn’t wasted. God is still forming our faith while we wait for His timing. Carolyn’s story reminded me that God often leads us one step at a time, long before He shows us the whole path.
Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not rely on our own understanding. The promise is not that we will understand every step. The promise is that He will make our paths straight as we acknowledge Him.
Perspectives Into Practice
Perspectives Into Practice — Write down one area where you have said yes to God but feel stuck in the not yet. Pray over it with open hands and say, “Lord, I trust You with the timing and the details.”
Then take one faithful step you already know to take today. Do not wait for the entire plan before obeying the next instruction.
