When God Rewrites Your Plans

Today's Question
What interruption or unexpected season are you struggling to place in God’s hands today? What would change if you believed He may be redirecting you instead of ruining your plans?
Reflection
I remember hearing Dawn describe living in 21 different homes in less than 40 years. Every move brought new logistics, expenses, schools, doctors, and measurements for curtains. None of it was simple. Yet one unexpected move brought her to Hawaii during a season when her heart needed rest.
In our conversation on the podcast, Dawn reminded me that God can use the places we never planned to go. An interruption may feel like a detour, but it can become the place where He meets us with peace, growth, and a new perspective.
Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not rely on our own understanding. The promise is not that we will understand every turn. The promise is that God will guide our paths when we acknowledge Him.
Perspectives Into Practice
Perspectives Into Practice — Write down one plan that has changed recently. Place your hand to heart and pray, “Lord, I trust You with this. Direct my path, even when I don’t understand.”
Today, when something doesn’t go according to plan, pause before reacting. Ask God, “Are You inviting me to notice something, learn something, or follow You in a new direction?”
