Trust Begins With A New Priority

~2 min read

Today's Question

Do you tend to turn to God first, or mainly when life becomes an emergency? What small change could help you invite Him into the ordinary parts of your day?

Reflection

Dawn shared honestly about reaching the end of herself in 2018. Her husband was preparing for deployment, and a LASIK surgery had gone badly, leaving her unable to see clearly. She realized she had been trying to manage life her own way and calling on God only when things felt impossible.

That moment became a priority shift. Instead of treating God as a last resort, she began waking up and saying, “Adonai, direct this day.” Friends, that kind of trust usually grows through small, faithful choices. It is not always dramatic. It is often a quiet decision to surrender before we begin solving.

Romans 2:4 teaches that God’s kindness leads us to repentance. His kindness does not shame us for how we have lived. It gently turns our hearts back toward Him.

Perspectives Into Practice

Perspectives Into Practice — Before checking your phone or beginning your responsibilities, give God the first few minutes of your morning. Say, “Lord, You are my Shepherd. Lead me today.”

Name one ordinary area where you have been trying to stay in control. Surrender that area specifically, and invite the Holy Spirit to guide your decisions, words, and pace.
