For storytellers

Bring your people into a free community of their own

If you lead a church, host a podcast, write, speak, or share faith online, you can request to host a Story Haven community. Every request is reviewed by hand — this is not a self-serve signup.

Who this is for

If you already gather people around faith and digital content, this is your invitation.

Church leaders

Give your congregation a cared-for space for prayer, testimony, and everyday faith — without building another app.

Podcasters

Import episodes automatically and gather listeners where they can talk, pray, and stay.

Bloggers

Fan your posts into the community so readers can respond in a room that already knows Jesus.

Authors & writers

Host readers around a book, a series, or the stories you are still writing.

Speakers

Keep the conversation going after the event — a community they can return to.

YouTubers

Give viewers a quieter place to share, pray, and stay connected between videos.

What you get free today

A real community you own — not a landing page, and not a paid membership pitch.

Your own community

A named space you own. You become the owner; you invite, moderate, and post.

Privacy you control

Public and open, public but request-to-join, listed private, or unlisted invite-only.

Posts, voice, and Scripture

Stories, thoughts, testimonies, voice notes with transcripts, and Bible verses on every post.

Podcast and blog import

Connect an RSS feed and new episodes or posts can land in the community for you.

Web and mobile

The same community on thestoryhaven.net and in the iPhone and Android apps.

Moderation tools

Join requests, member roles, reporting, and the same guidelines that keep the Haven cared-for.

How it works

Apply, get approved, name the space, invite your people, publish.

  1. Request access

Tell us who you are, where you publish, and who you hope to gather. We review every request.

  2. Get approved

Approval is manual. Nothing is granted until an admin reviews your request.

  3. Manage your community

Once approved, you can run groups, connect your podcast or blog, and request a private room.

  4. Invite your people

Share a private join link. Members create a free Story Haven account (or sign in) and enter your space.

  5. Publish

Post, pray, import your podcast or blog, and moderate as your community grows.

Privacy options

You choose how visible the community is. These map to the four privacy modes already in the product.

  • Public — anyone can join

Listed in browse. Members can read and join instantly. Posting still requires membership.

  • Public — request to post

Listed in browse. Anyone can read. People request to join before they can post.

  • Private — listed

Visible in browse as a private community. People request to join; content stays inside.

  • Private — unlisted

Hidden from browse. People enter only if you invite them.

Coming soon

Not for sale. Mark interest on your application if you want to hear when these open.

Paid rooms and groups

Optional paid spaces for your inner circle. Not available yet — tell us if you want them.

Courses you run

Storyteller-hosted courses on top of your community. Interest only for now.

What we do not do

Honesty now beats a promise we cannot keep.

Not a replacement for your website

This is a community layer — prayer, stories, and conversation — not a church or ministry site builder.

No cut of the free community

Your community is free. If Story Haven Gateway later collects payment for your courses or paid rooms, you connect your own Stripe account as merchant of record. A progressive Platform Fee applies to Monthly Gateway Volume (10% on the first $10,000 in a calendar month, stepping down at higher volume), invoiced monthly and collected by ACH. Nothing is taken from members joining free.

No pricing to announce for hosting

Hosting stays free. Paid rooms and courses are not for sale yet. When they open, checkout terms in the Storyteller Agreement apply — not a surprise fee for the community itself.

Storyteller questions

Straight answers before you apply.

Who counts as a storyteller?
Church leaders, podcasters, bloggers, authors, speakers, writers, YouTubers — anyone with an online or in-person ministry that produces digital content. If you gather people around faith stories, you can apply.
How do I apply?
Create a free Story Haven account, then submit the request form on this page. We review each request by hand. Approval is not automatic.
Is hosting a community free?
Yes. Your storyteller community is free to create and run. Members always join The Story Haven at no cost. If Story Haven Gateway later collects payment for your courses or paid rooms, you connect your own Stripe account as merchant of record. A progressive Platform Fee applies to Monthly Gateway Volume (starting at 10% on the first $10,000 in a calendar month), invoiced monthly and collected by ACH. Paid rooms and courses are not for sale yet.
How do my people join?
They create a free Story Haven account (open signup, email verified) and then join your community according to the privacy you chose — instantly, by request, or by invite.
Can I keep my community private?
Yes. You can list it as private or keep it unlisted so only people you invite can find it. Public options are available if you want to be discoverable.
Can men and women be in the same community?
Yes. When you create a community you choose women, men, or everyone. Platform rooms stay gendered; your community can match the people you already serve.
Is there a Storyteller Agreement?
Yes. Before you apply — and again if we update the terms — you accept the Grace Unworthy Storyteller Agreement. It covers ownership, AI, migration, data, Gateway payments, ACH Platform Fees, and termination, and it controls for Storyteller commercial activity where the general Terms conflict.
Will there be paid rooms or courses?
That is the direction, not a product you can buy today. Mark interest on your application if you want to hear when paid communities and courses open.
Does this replace my church or ministry website?
No. The Story Haven is a community for stories, prayer, and conversation. Keep your site for sermons, giving, events, and the rest of your ministry.
